Financial Controller
Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
- Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and realistic financial plans.
- Monitor and analyze budget-to-actual performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
3. Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity needs are met and optimize investment opportunities.
- Implement effective cash management policies and procedures.
4. Internal Controls:
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.
- Conduct periodic internal audits to identify and address control weaknesses.
5. Tax Compliance:
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of all tax filings.
- Stay abreast of changes in tax regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
6. Financial Strategy:
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and implement financial strategies to support organizational goals.
Responsibilities of the Candidate:
- Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts
- Will take care of everything in Finance (Tax, treasury, GAAP etc)
- Track and analyze financial performance
- Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Administer accounting and bookkeeping systems
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Oversee financial compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Provide financial advice and support to management
- Identify and mitigate financial risks
- Stay up-to-date on financial trends and best practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Chartered Accountant (CA)
- Exposed to MNC setup
- years of progressive financial management experience, with at least [Y] years in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
