Financial Controller
1. Supervise and ensure the timely close of all global legal entity books of accounts each month.
2. Ensure reporting, analysis and presentation of financial results including consolidation, by line of service and location geography from the legal entity accounts.
3. Coordination with all professionals across all territories for accounting, audit, tax, other legal and compliance matters.
a. Ensure timely compliance for all tax and statutory matters.
b. Compliance to transfer pricing requirements including obtaining transfer pricing study.
c. Timely and accurate local GAAP accounting by the professional accountants
d. Preparation of statutory submissions in liaison with specialists
4. Manage global banking relationships.
5. Preparation of global cash flow management with cash flow forecasts
6. Manage all accounting operations including revenue recognition, revaluations, cost accruals, fixed assets, banking etc
7. Review and approval of debit/credit notes, payments, audit debits
8. Ensure all reconciliations like intercompany, bank, and creditors are prepared and reviewed
9. Ensure the reporting of key leading and lagging business indicators in a timely manner
10. Reporting on key KPIs like timely financial close, timely compliance, payment on time, timely and accurate payroll
11. Develop and keep updated, SOPs for business processes and accounting policies to maintain/ strengthen internal controls, avoid leakages and maximise automation capabilities
12. Collaborate with respective teams for preparation of analytics and management dashboards
13. Preparation of Board packs
The candidate:
1. Chartered Accountant with 10-12 years of post-qualification experience
2. Big 4 experience mandatory
3. Knowledge and expert level experience of US GAAP/IFRS
4. Proven experience in independent controlling and consolidation of entities
5. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
6. Experience in working with leading ERPs is essential, SAGE would be preferable
7. Experience in working with European or American shared services operations
8. Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management and problem solving skills
9. Expert knowledge of MS Office
