About the Company:
A fast-growing auto component manufacturing company, backed by a leading private equity firm, is seeking a dynamic Financial Controller to strengthen its finance function. The company is preparing for an Initial Public Offering (IPO) within the next year and requires a leader to ensure financial discipline, compliance, and strategic oversight during this critical growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Strategy and Planning
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes aligned with the company's strategic goals.
- Support the leadership team in financial decision-making and IPO readiness.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize cash flow, working capital, and cost management.
2. IPO Preparation
- Collaborate with external advisors, investment bankers, and legal teams to manage IPO preparations.
- Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and reporting requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of IPO documentation, including prospectus, financial statements, and investor presentations.
3. Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements as per Indian Accounting Standards (Ind-AS).
- Oversee statutory audits, tax compliance (direct and indirect), and regulatory filings.
- Maintain compliance with all SEBI, Companies Act, and other relevant regulations.
4. Operational Oversight
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial governance.
- Monitor and improve operational efficiencies, inventory management, and cost control processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with operational goals.
5. Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals to build a high-performing finance function.
- Foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent; MBA in Finance is a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector, preferably in auto components or similar industries.
- Prior exposure to private equity-backed companies and IPO processes is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Ind-AS, SEBI regulations, GST, and corporate tax laws.
- Soft Skills: Strategic mindset, exceptional leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.
