Financial Analyst Record to Report

Summary of Responsibilities :

- We are seeking a results-focused, quality-driven accounting person who has demonstrated extensive experience in handling accounting, finance (Treasury), operations (Order to cash) and reporting processes (Record to Report).

- This position shall be part of the accounting and reporting (controllership) function of the company.

- The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, detail oriented and will possess the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

- He/she will work towards ensuring that we have a seamless month-end close process and support other business functions with timely information sharing.

- This role would also require working knowledge of various tools and systems in place. Equally important for success in this role is the ability to lead diverse teams of professionals to new levels of success in a variety of complex tasks as the business continues to grow.

- A candidate should have strong technical GAAP accounting and hands-on experience in these areas to successfully analyze the organization's critical business requirements and develop innovative solutions to improve performance and reporting of financial results.

Knowledge & Skills Required :

Major work responsibilities shall comprise of the below :

- Supervise the accounting for opex transactions,

- Ensure adherence to company's accounting policy and guidelines,

- Ensure accurate and timely month-end close,

- Support in preparation of management P&L, respond to business queries,

- Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure resolution of the reconciling items,

- Preparation of audit schedules and handling audit requirements,

- Researching and documenting technical accounting issues for Ind AS purposes

- Maintenance of internal financial controls (SPOs) for assigned processes including but not limited to stock delivery, vendor returns, liquidations and ensure accuracy in recording of these transactions;

- Work on automation of various processes and support various projects and initiatives.

- Handling treasury function and provide visibility on cash flows to leadership.

- Working closely with bankers / credit insurers / rating agencies.

- Understanding and influencing the design of financial systems

- Ensure that cost efficiency and a cost-conscious culture is a key focus for the organization

BASIC QUALIFICATION :

- Chartered Accountant with 3-6 years of post-qualification experience in Business Controls / Corp Accounting / Internal Audit / Reporting

- Maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.

- Highly analytical and detail oriented

- Experience working with cross-functional teams

- Fluency in Excel and Oracle

- Solid communication skills - written and verbal

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION :

- Understanding of the retail business. Prior experience in a complex retail organization.

- Proven ability to develop new ideas and creative solutions

- Proven ability to work successfully in an ambiguous environment

- Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Customer focus and professional demeanor
