Financial Analyst - Hospitality

Overview:

- As a Financial Analyst in the hospitality industry, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic decision-making and financial performance.

- You'll be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to support the organization's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis:

- Analyze financial data, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow.

- Prepare detailed financial reports and presentations.

- Conduct cost-benefit analyses and identify areas for improvement.

- Develop financial models and projections to support strategic planning.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets.

- Forecast revenue, expenses, and profitability.

- Monitor variances from budget and identify corrective actions.

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Data Analysis:

- Utilize data analytics tools to extract insights from financial data.

- Identify trends and patterns to inform decision-making.

Business Partnering:

- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial support and analysis.

- Advise on financial implications of strategic initiatives.

Ad-hoc Analysis:

- Conduct special projects and analyses as needed.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

- 6+ years of experience in financial analysis or a similar role.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial software).

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of hospitality industry accounting and financial reporting standards.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

- Experience with property management systems (PMS).

- Certification in financial analysis (e.g., CFA, CMA).

- Knowledge of revenue management and pricing strategies.
