Branding - Financial Analyst
Job Description:
- Partner Brand marketing to develop sustainable growth strategies . Analyze effectiveness of marketing investments. Develop effective ROI models for Brand marketing spends.
- Critically analyze and consult brand marketing on all marketing interventions. Build a business model and co-own the shadow P&L of the Brand marketing department with the Head of Brand Marketing.
- This a very critical role which requires the candidate to work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing. Therefore, while the candidate reports to the AVP finance, he/ she will have a dotted line reporting to Head of Brand Marketing as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop an annual business plan for Brand Marketing along with the HOD
- Analysis of Brand Marketing investment ROI
- Co-Own the Shadow P&L of the Brand Marketing department 84Media effectiveness analysis: Analysis what channels/ mediums deliver better ROI
- Development of Business cases for new/ proposed interventions along with Brand Marketing team members
- Consult brand marketing on key interventions
- Analysis of whats working - scale up and diagnose whats not working
- RCA for marketing investments that are not yielding ROI
- Critical analysis of all Brand marketing spends
- Budgetary discussion for Annual, Quarterly and monthly budgets with Brand Marketing team and Finance
Competencies :
- Excellent data analysis skills and ability to interpret key consumer indices, brand parameters, internal consumer, traffic, conversion and competitive data
- Excellent analytical abilities. Able to analyze various data points to validate hypothesis and conclusions
- Excellent tracking and optimization skills. Should know what data points to look at when tracking a certain intervention
- Knowledge of principles of measuring marketing investment ROI
- Good people skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders- while risk managing the impact on the business
- Knowledge of principles and processes for planning and budgeting for campaigns and activation.
- Process driven- Deriving pre-campaign KPIs from 3rd party data sources; campaign tracking and optimization; Post campaign analysis.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, adaptability to rapid change.
- Experience of budgeting, reporting and analysis.
