A quick summary of the role: As an EMEA Financial Accounting Analyst, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial reporting process for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Key Responsibilities:

- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for the EMEA region, adhering to both local and international accounting standards.

- Month-End and Year-End Close: Support the month-end and year-end close processes by reconciling accounts, analysing variances, and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded.

- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies.

- Financial Analysis: Provide financial analysis and insights to management by analyzing trends, identifying opportunities for process improvement, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes.

- Internal Controls: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.

- Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and reviews, providing required documentation, explanations, and analysis.

- Intercompany Transactions: Reconcile and validate intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate and timely settlement between entities within the EMEA region.

- Tax Compliance: Assist in tax-related matters, including preparation of tax schedules and documentation for corporate tax filings.

- Process Enhancement: Continuously identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial accounting processes, contributing to efficiency and accuracy improvements.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including treasury, legal, and compliance, to ensure accurate and comprehensive financial reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA qualification is a plus.

2. 7+ years of experience in financial accounting or audit, preferably within the financial services or investment banking sector.

3. Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

4. Proficiency in accounting software, financial systems, and Microsoft Excel.

5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in complex financial transactions.

6. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

7. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
