Job Description:
1 Capex financial evaluation:
1. Extensive discussions w.r.t. the proposal with relevant stakeholders (IPDO, Mfg Team, Marketing, portfolio, planning, project team and other relevant functions) to understand the requirement
2. Evaluating business cases
3. Evaluating financial benefits - Arriving at NPV/IRR/Payback
4. Carrying out appropriate sensitivity analysis
5. Evaluation of build-up of project cost of capex proposals / Validation of the project cost / Benchmarking of project cost (internal & external)
2 Presenting capex proposals in the appropriate forum:
a) Preparing capex approval note / document /ppt
b) Organize CRM/MIC and present the capex proposals in the forum
c) To present financial evaluation of all major capex proposals in CRM / MIC for discussion and approval
d) Co-ordinate and ensure projects are approved as per DOA
3 Post approval / Other activities:
a) Getting the project code created and upload budget as per approvals
b) Weekly tracking of the proposals and update status
c) MIS and analytics on the capex spend- Plan vs actual, trends etc.
In order to ensure timeliness of budget upload, ensuring approvals as per DoA and capex approvals within approval limits for the year
4 Post project evaluation for high value investments:
a) At regular intervals, tracking of running projects and highlight the learnings in the capex QRM
b) Validating the business cases w.r.t. the initial assumptions and highlight deviations/giving suggestions to optimize the investment, if any.
c) Highlight any deviations to original scope/costing/delays in the projects
d) Presenting post project evaluation for high value investment in the QRM and low value
investment in the appropriate forum as per the governance framework.
In order to ensure costs/scope/timelines are within the approvals and to identify key learnings from the past projects.
