We have been retained by a Tech company into Data Centre business to hire a Manager finance for Mumbai location.

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Direct and indirect tax compliance

- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all direct and indirect tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other statutory obligations.

- Maintain compliance with local, state, and any other tax regulations.

- Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits and queries.

- Identify tax-saving opportunities and make recommendations to senior management.

- Provide tax advice on sales and other business contracts.

- Work with tax consultants to ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements.

- Monthly compliance reporting on tax related activities to various stakeholders.

2. Planning & Analysis

- Work with the Head of Finance and other Digital Connexion teams to develop detailed direct and indirect expense projections.

- Compare actual spends against established plans and create meaningful variance analyses.

- Establish processes for creating budgets at a departmental level and for tracking of actuals and variances for each department/team.

- Produce variance reports for shareholder and Digital Connexion management.

3. Billing & Accounts receivables

- Establish processes for creating customer invoicing, recording of invoices in the ERP system and eventual collection/application of cash against such invoices. Till such time our ERP system is fully established, ensure manual billing and tracking mechanisms are in place.

- Finance point of contact for any customer enquiries related to invoices

- Set up e-invoicing process for Digital Connexion to be compliant with legal requirements.

4. Other responsibilities:

- Maintain models related to cross-charge management entity expenses to recipient entities. Work with external consultants to ensure compliance with transfer pricing requirements.

- Provide support for internal, external, tax and any other type of audit mandated

- In-depth understanding and maintenance of models related to management or other fees payable to our joint venture partners.

- Provide support for ERP implementation as and when required.

Preferred Candidate profile:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is a must.

- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in related fields. Experience in a technology or data center company would be an added advantage.

- Proven track record of handling responsibilities outlined above in in a startup or fast-paced environment

- In-depth knowledge of Indian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations

- Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Word - extensive proven experience of having developed Excel-based models.

- Proven ability to work as a team player.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

- Experience in a multi-national company environment dealing with stakeholders from various geographies would be an added advantage.

- High level of integrity and ethical standards.

- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.

- Proactive and able to work independently.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
