Duties and responsibilities
- Prepare the monthly management accounts with all the necessary schedules that are agreed with the group management.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to complete the management accounts pack in time per the agreed calendar.
- Co-ordinate all the audits in the group working with both the company's / group auditor and local accounts / head office accounts department and clear all audit queries.
- Ensure that audits are completed on time per the agreed timeline.
- Prepare the group statutory financial statements and work with the auditors to complete the audit per agreed timeline and clear all queries.
- Provide the auditors with necessary schedules and documents that are required for the audit.
- Assist in preparing weekly cash flow for the group.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets / forecasts for the group.
- Lead the computation of entries for IFRS 16 (leases) and maintain the necessary schedules.
- Be the go to person for all IFRS related queries in the group and obtain the necessary solutions / references.
- Review all the supporting financing schedules provided by the accounting team to ensure integrity of data.
- Work with the Finance Manager (group) to prepare the necessary transfer pricing P and L for review by the management to comply with the necessary legislations and report exceptions.
- Conduct adhoc reviews on processes as directed by the group CFO.
- Ensure that the transfer pricing policy of the group is maintained across the group companies and exceptions reported.
- Work with the Financial Analyst to enhance segmental reporting.
- Maintain a working relationship with the India accounting team and understand the GST and or taxation issues and add value for resolution.
- Carryout ad-hoc projects as directed
Key relationships
- Reports to the Finance Manager
- Finance Analyst, CFO, local finance teams and senior functional managers
Key skills required
- Experience in financial consolidation involving companies / BUs in several countries.
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS and its impact / requirement in the preparation of statutory consolidation statements.
- Has used a specialised consolidation software e.g. Hyperion, Cognos, Jedox etc.
- Can conduct end to end process reviews.
- An excellent communicator.
- Exceptional skills in Excel.
- Has a good command over the English langue, has a can-do attitude.
- Has worked on Tier-I or Tier-II ERP systems and is reasonably comfortable in interrogating / querying / extracting reports / information from the ERP system. Knowledge of MS Business central will be an added advantage.
Qualifications and experience
- A graduate with professional accountancy qualification ACCA or CA.
- A post qualification experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar role or in a big local CA firm (top 10 preferably).
- Has worked previously in an international company or a large local group or a big local CA firm.
- Has experience in manufacturing industry and or Trading industry.
