Finance Manager - Insurance Startup - CA

A next-gen health financing platform that covering all health & wellness needs, aiming to provide the best healthcare through comprehensive yet simple-to-use financial products. Company is a startup and is looking for Finance Manager

No. of days working / week: 6 days/ week (Saturdays are WFH)

Responsibilities:

- Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts

- Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information

- Evaluate departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency

- Create and establish yearly financial objectives that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion

- Prepare and present monthly financial budgeting reports including monthly profit and loss by division, forecast vs. budget by division and weekly cash flow by division

- Develop and maintain monthly operating budget and annual company operating budget. Accounting, General Ledger, Administration and Compliance

- Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, compliance and financial procedures

- Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements

- Oversee the month-end close process, constantly reviewing procedures while eliminating inefficiencies

- Supervise Accounts Receivable management and provide guidance relating to the collection process

Requirements:

- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

- C.A Required

- 5 years minimum experience as a Finance Manager

- Good knowledge of excel, power point, tally, MIS software, ERP accounting software

- Outstanding communication and presentation skills

- Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence - ability to motivate staff

- Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills

- Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues
