Finance Manager/Finance Controller
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE : The purpose of the role is to provide support to the finance department in managing the financial resources of the company by forecasting and planning thereby helping in taking strategic decisions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Preparation of financials Monthly, Quarterly, half-yearly and yearly financials at year-end.
- MIS preparation with complete financials. All Balance sheet items & Expenses & Provision schedule preparation.
- Complete tax audit, Advance tax working.
- Income Tax return filing within timelines.
- Checking of GST working, reports and filing of returns.
- Managing internal and statutory Audits and coordinating with the auditors
- Inter-departmental coordination.
- Helping in preparation of income tax assessment details as per IT notice of previous years
- Cash Flows, FAR, Statutory compliances and payments monitoring of TDS, VAT, PF and ESI.

Objective : Looking for an experienced finance professional who can play a senior role in the finance function and over time look to play a leading role in the function.
- The individual should be able to own and drive all aspects of strategic finance, including translating company strategy into financial plans, tracking those financial plans against operating performance, design and implementing strong processes and ERP systems.
- This individual should bring fresh strategic thinking to the business and be a key thought partner to the Management Team.
Prior qualifications :
- Chartered Accountant
- 5+ years experience in the finance function
- Experience working in QSR/Retail Industry will be preferable
- Experience in dealing with banks for leverage, etc. (not mandatory)
Responsibilities :
1. Operational :
a. Design and set up processes and controls around payments, periodic reconciliations, tax compliances, tracking cash flow statements, bank reconciliations, etc.
b. Build and train the lower-level finance function to support the rapidly growing business size and complexities
c. Bring in industry best practices for routine tasks
2. MIS / Dashboards :
a. Preparing monthly MIS for Board and shareholder discussions
b. Designing and setting up business dashboards such as customer-level profitability, business unit-level profitability, etc.
c. Discussion with other BU heads to identify outliers and drive decision-making using such dashboards
3. Business plan / Forward-looking :
a. Preparation of annual business plan and on a monthly basis, tracking actual operating performance against plan
b. Updating the plan on a timely basis
c. Designing systems for projected cash flows, balance sheets, etc.
4. Others :
a. Statutory compliances and payments including but not limited to - TDS, GST, Income tax
b. Handling audits and other secretarial processes
KRAs :
- Timely availability of reporting/performance review metrics
- Timely invoicing and AR collection management
- Profitability management, monitoring budgets vs actuals
- Timely business plans, monthly MIS and dashboarding
- Complete compliance management (tax, secretarial)
