Finance Manager (Audit and Taxation)-CA Mandatory
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chartered Accountant to join the finance team, specifically focusing on audit and taxation within the hotel industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial and regulatory landscape of the hospitality sector, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and standards while optimizing the hotel's financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Audit:
- Conduct internal and external audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Evaluate and improve internal control systems and procedures.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to senior management.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with hotel financial policies and procedures.
Taxation:
- Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate implications to management.
- Handle tax audits and correspondence with tax authorities.
- Advise management on the tax implications of business decisions.
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial laws and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with hotel operations.
- Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in audit and taxation, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
