About Our Client : A captive Technology Centre of a middle east country (Government Enterprise) set up in Pune since the year 2012 as subsidiary of a leading provider of Technology Services & Solutions in the middle east.

Roles & Responsibilities :

Strategic/Finance

- Oversee, review, and ensure adherence to budgets and conduct periodic financial review meetings on the same with department heads and other key stakeholders.

- Partner with business heads to develop and execute the India Centre's finance strategy.

- Develop accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls in partnership with priorities and strategies outlined by the Leadership team.

- Maintain financial models to provide forecasts of the India Centre' s future operations.

- Maintain and apply knowledge of trends, leading industry practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in finance to guide India Centre financial strategy.

- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies.

- Provide guidance on the financial impact of tax decisions and recommend courses of action to minimize tax liabilities.

- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accurate representation of tax-related information.

- Analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize tax efficiency.

- Audit Support: Support internal and external audit processes related to tax matters.

- Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and assist in resolving any tax-related issues.

Operational:

- Supervise and support the Tax team with tax filing in compliance with all statutory requirements.

- Lead annual activities with regards to costing, audit, and estimation activities

- Review administrative expenditure vis-a- vis the approved budget at periodic intervals and if required, suggest remedial measures.

- Support the accounts teams and provide oversight with regards to vendor payments

- Supervise periodic internal audits of payments and account and support external auditors in ensuring compliance with legal and statutory requirements.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet and profit and loss statements for senior management.

- Support the parent corp in intercompany reconciliation

Systems / Processes and Policies

- Periodically review financial exposures and risks and take appropriate proactive measures.

- Lead and execute process improvement initiatives within the department and improve efficiency through implementation of digital initiatives.

- People Nurturing: Responsible for the management of the Finance function including development,training, motivation, and workload planning, welfare, monitoring, staff recruitment, performance assessment and mentoring.

- Partner with business heads to enable them to achieve their goals while creating aculture of fiscal responsibility.

Education, Qualification & Work Experience:

- CA (Chartered Accountant) certification along with a degree in any discipline

- Alternatively, a Master's/PGDM or any equivalent degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting from a reputed university

- Total 8-10 years of experience in Finance and finance adjacent functions

- At least 5 years of handling taxation and budgeting particularly with regards to off-shore centers

- Must have prior experience with audit, risk management and tender procedures.
