Finance Head - Travel

- The company is managed by the promoters and has recently raised funds from a renowned Private Equity fund. The company is keen to further invest in its organizational capabilities to capitalize on the immense growth opportunities within India and in international markets.

Objective : The company is looking for a seasoned finance professional who can take charge of the Finance, Legal and Secretarial functions. This individual should be able to own and drive all aspects of strategic finance, including translating company strategy into financial plans, tracking those financial plans against operating performance, evaluating and implementing an ERP system, and driving continuous improvement in finance processes as per global best practices.

- This individual should bring fresh strategic thinking to the business and be a key thought partner to the CEO.

Prior qualifications :

- Chartered Accountant/MBA - Finance

- 8+ years experience in finance function

- Good to have prior experience in tech/e-commerce / travel sector

- At least 3 years of a leadership role in the finance function

- Experience with rollout and management of ERP, financial control / reporting systems, budgeting, MIS and dashboarding, compliance

Responsibilities :

- Prepare the annual business plan, and track operating performance against plan.

- Manage working capital across different verticals/lines of business and implement checks and balances.

- Manage financial institutions for working capital limits, and bank guarantees.

- Design and set up processes and controls around reconciliations with different stakeholders in the ecosystem (airlines, agents), payments, and tax compliance.

- Spearheaded the evaluation and implementation of a robust ERP.

- Prepare dashboards and MIS for Board level discussions,

- Statutory compliance, handling audits, secretarial processes

- Build and train the middle to lower-level finance function to support the rapidly growing business size and complexities,

- Bring in industry best practices, and be a thought partner to the CEO in thinking strategically about unit economics, capital allocation, etc.
