Finance Controller - Trading Firm

Their is one good opportunity for Finance Controller with our Trading client based in Lagos Nigeria

Job Location : Lagos , Nigeria

Qualification : MBA /Mcom /CA Inter with minimum 6 years experience in managing end to end finance , accounts , treasury etc .

Nigeria experience is must .

Reporting to Managing Director & Group Finance Controller

Experience:

- 5+ years of Nigeria experience

- Managing a team of around 7 to 8 local people .

- Extremely good English .

Job description

- Monitoring routine accounting transactions on daily basis

- Cash & Bank Management, ensuring payments in compliance with approval process & supporting documents.

- Monitoring the treasury function including banking, forex, credit facilities, working capital requirement

- Liaising with Banks, business friendly relationships with banks

- Preparation of monthly financials business wise Profit & loss account/ Balance sheet/Cash Flow & other management reports

- Quarterly Basis & Cash flow Weekly/Other ad hoc Reports as required by Management

- Customer collection report, Bank Balance report and Sales report to Management on Daily Basis.

- Budget & Planning, Understanding variance analysis

- Business treand analysis, Revenue Vs Cost movement, Business forecast.

- Product Costings (Projected & Actual)

- Ensuring getting the Accounts audited by Statutory Auditors

- Commercial acumen, dealing with suppliers, Price Negotiation & Cost Controlling measures, Logistics cost management

- Having knowledge of Import & Export and tracking on Daily Basis-Opening the Form M, NAFDAC, Son PC, PAAR, Duty, ECD, etc

- Insurance of all the assets (Vehicle, stock, Premises), monthly review of stock value followed by declaration to insurance company.

- Tax Compliances, Statutory Compliances, Dealing with Tax Authorities (FIRS, LIRS towards getting books audited)

- Monthly VAT returns Annual returns as per respective laws

- Dealing with Govt authorities towards new product registration

- Supporting implementation of automation and other digital initiatives for continuous process improvements
