About our Client: Our client is a FTSE 250 organization who has entered into a JV embarking on its first foray into the India market. Be part of the launch team and help in setting up this firm from Ground Zero
Job Description: Reporting to the CEO and multiple others senior stake holders, your specific responsibilities will include:
- Review and manage all financial reporting activities for the Management team of the Company to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial statements, accounts, business transactions and related submissions.
- Ensure adherence to Accounting Standards in India as well as Group Accounting policy.
- Responsible for asset control management for the Company owned assets
- Ensure accurate and timely tax computations, payments, returns and related submissions and maintain reports of the same
- Be abreast of all new changes in taxation rules and keep management/group tax informed for major changes and its application.
- Manage the annual budget preparation exercise for the Company by ensuring regular management discussions on functional budgets, costs and spends, timely and accurate budget preparation and submission of the same to the Group for monthly review and controls
- Ensure a strict cost control through timely, month-on-month budgetary reporting on the Company's performance against budget to help the management take decisions
- Ensure timely and accurate submissions for all compliances i.e. secretarial, IRDA, RBI, VAT
- Identify individuals to hire and the skill gaps in team for current and future requirements, create plans for skill and competency development and implement and monitor development plans for increased team capability
- Maintain healthy relation with all stakeholders to ensure a continuous flow of information and speedy resolutions
- Assist in the vendor selection process with relevant team and ensure timely vendor payment and invoice collections Manage cash flows, Forex payments
The Successful Candidate:
- You are a Qualified Chartered Accountant (Mandatory) with a minimum of 10 years of post qualification experience in Accounting / Reporting within an India Controllership function.
- You should have supreme knowledge in Compliance, Tax and interacting with Regulatory Authorities.
- You will be an innovative thinker, a commercial manager, an inspiring leader and be able to command respect at all levels of an organization.
- You will be highly analytical and have experience of providing Management Information to various stake holders across multiple locations.
- You should have excellent communication skills and be able to articulate your thoughts with ease.
- Experience of Sun Systems is highly preferred
- You should have knowledge of incubating an organization and finance department from scratch and the ability to deal with ambiguity and change at all levels.
