The Group is a large conglomerate with interests across plastics, fmcg, and trading with its head office in Lagos, Nigeria has a shared services arm also based in Lagos, Nigeria. For the same, the company is looking for a suitable candidate to manage finance for one of the BUs. The role will report to the BU Head and will be based at Lagos, Nigeria. The Finance Controller will be responsible for the following: - Prudent Finance management with proper accounting and systematic reporting of activities and its analysis, being strong in all Commercial and Financial aspects. - Preparation of budgets, forecasts and business plans for the Company. - Continued monitoring & review of performance against them to enable robust reporting of variances to the Board and third-party stakeholders. - Effectively manage the working capital components with specific attention to stock, debtors and cash balances. - Active management of overheads whilst seeking out areas for efficiencies for savings. - Review and update, in line with good practice, the Group's internal control environment and produce a Controls and Procedures manual for review and adoption by management. - Play an active role in assisting management in the risk assessment process and embedding a risk management culture throughout the organization. The Finance Controller will work closely with the CFO. To be suitable, the candidate must: - Be a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Have at least 12 years of post-qualification experience - Having experience in working as a Controller for a Financial Institution will be of added advantage.
