Finance Controller - Hotel

Executive Hiring is looking for a Finance Controller for a Large Luxury Hotel which can be based anywhere in the country.

CA with 5-7 years of work exp. in the areas of Accounting, Reporting, Compliance in a Large Luxury Hotel only is mandatory.

The role :

Accounting and Reporting:

Maintenance of books of accounts, month/ quarter end closing and financial reporting - Capitalization of assets, maintaining the fixed assets register and conducting yearly physical verification of the assets. - Ensuring Revenue from all sources is appropriately accounted for.

Handling accounting for Loyalty Program and revenue from Online Travel Agents, approving invoices and releasing payments to the Vendors.

Planning, Audits and Negotiations:

Assisting the Group Fin Controller in preparing annual budgets.

Statutory Compliances:

Ensuring filing of statutory returns such as GST, Income Tax (TDS) etc. and remitting tax payments within timelines.

Taking and utilizing the GST input credit, deducting appropriate taxes while processing the invoices.

Tracking licenses, their validity and ensure timely renewals.

Maintain adherence to statutory compliance checklist.

Controls and Credit:

Review of Credit Extensions and Analysis of Receivables. Review Credit extensions to Corporates and liaise with them to build Business Relationship and ensure payment cycle is adhered to.

Review and Approval of various Sale Contracts with the Sales & Marketing Team.

Review of Day & Night Audit reports.

Managing Cash at the Hotel including conducting of surprise checks at various outlets where cash is handled.

People Management:

Train the team on various accounting and tax laws. Coordinating with other departments at the unit for smooth functioning of hotel operations.
