Finance Controller - FMCG Exports

- Our Client is the world's largest FMCG brand manufacturer and exporter with a legacy spanning over 120 years.They are India's first integrated company with a comprehensive product chain. Our client is a billion dollar top line company holding 45% market share in India and 50% share in export market.

- As the Finance Controller - Exports Business, you will act as a financial controller for the P&L of the export division. You will also develop/ build own team.

What you will do:

Finance Management - Accounts

- Managing and overseing daily operations relating to finance of International Division and overseas subsidiaries

- Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce complete financial statements of overseas subsidiaries

- Possessing thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure

- Jointly preparing AOPs, budgets, spend and forecast activities including exercising accounting control to ensure that budgeted expenditures do not exceed amounts authorized without proper approval.

- Rolling 12 month cash flow forecast

- Rigorous monitoring of the spend allocation and reimbursement of spends to overseas distributors. Auditing the supportings and debit notes and then, approving the final payment sheets.

- Approving all spends pertaining to International division before they are sent for payment processing- Logistics, supply chain, legal, marketing, sales promotion etc.

- Generating financial dashboards, MIS, reports and statements

- Adhering to accounting standards / ensure financial compliance in conjunction with international law and corporate accounting standards including export / import documentation as FEMA and RBI regulations

- Managing receipts & payments management for exports / domestic receivables (AR)

- Strong cost controlling background. Allocation and monitoring of the control centers.

- Budgetary Control including preparation of annual/monthly budgets and variance analysis for International division as a whole and country-wise

- Understanding of international trade finance and managing end-to-end treasury function of the Company. Overseeing team that vets export documents before they are sent to bank for negotiation.

- Supporting legal team from commercial side on international commercial disputes.

- Evaluating and maintaining the global banking relationship. Discussion with banks on PBG, Letters of credit, confirmations. Working around trade restrictions and negotiating financial solutions with bank.

- Maintaining dialogues and working relationship with overseas auditors, auditors (external/internal) of Parent Company and legal firms.

- Understanding and building pricing models to aid quicker visibility on P&L.

Systems and Processes

- Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods (SOP), policies and principles.

- Establishing financial control mechanisms including audits.

- Ensuring company financial records, under responsibility, are maintained in compliance with company policies and IFRS

- Creating right cost centres and tracking variance. Improvement and support in ERP SAP and other international division matters

- Enabling transparency on P&L to the sales team to drive maximum sales efforts.

- Generating accountability within sales team by creating discipline on sales vs spends. Assisting in technology enabled project which aid better governance and transparency.

- Fully supporting overseas subsidiaries

What you need to have:

- Strong accounting (including cost accounting) and/or finance working experience

- Sound accounting software knowledge of SAP and Tally

- Experience of working in a global finance team is key

- Adaptive, willing and able to work with different time zones to get the work completed

- Experience with financial planning and analysis, Experience of managing treasury function with akey focus on bank financing

- Superior analytical skills and attention to details

- Excellent time management and project management skills
