About our Client - Our client is a European company with a presence in more than 50 countries that operates into personal care and pharmaceutical industries. They have an employee base of 10-15 employees in India. In order to sustain their growth and to support the local General Manager, they are looking for someone hands on in operational finance who can take care of the finance and statutory requirements based out of their corporate office in Mumbai.

Job Description - Reporting to Country head and functionally to Group CFO-as a financial controller you will be an individual contributor to start with and will be responsible for:

- Monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statements in accordance with Indian regulations and group accounting policies.

- Ensuring compliance of all taxes as per the Indian tax regulations.

- Preparation of yearly budgets

- Presentation of updated and accurate quarterly reports of the India business to the Group finance team

- Preparing monthly payments of salaries and related taxes

- Managing and driving the customer service team.

- Dealing with customs, invoicing, AR/AP processes

- Ensuring all the financial transactions are as per the SAP module

The Successful Candidate - You should be a CA with at least 6-10 years of post qualification experience with a MNC. You should be well versed with Indian accounting standards and all areas of taxation. You should have good exposure to SAP with implementation experience being an advantage. It will be preferred (though not mandatory) if you have exposure in dealing with customs and excise as a part of an organization which imports goods and is into distribution model in India. You are hands on in your approach and a self starter who can drive things to closure independently.
