Finance Controller


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Team Leadership: Leading and developing a finance team, including hiring and training personnel, assigning responsibilities, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

- Financial Management: Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the company's India operations, adhering to applicable accounting standards.

- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for India operations, providing insights and analysis for decision-making.

- Compliance and Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

- Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluating and improving financial systems, processes, and tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. This includes leveraging technology solutions and automation to streamline financial operations.

- Audit and Risk Management: Coordinate and oversee external audits, liaise with auditors, and implement risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.

- Cash Flow Management: Managing cash flow projections, optimising working capital, and monitoring liquidity. This involves overseeing accounts receivable and payable, cash management, and coordinating with banking institutions.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with external stakeholders such as auditors, tax advisors, banks, and regulatory authorities. This includes ensuring compliance with external reporting requirements and addressing inquiries from external parties.

- Process Improvement: Staying updated with industry trends, best practises, and regulatory changes, and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, controls, and reporting.

- Strategic Initiatives: Participating in strategic planning and decision-making processes, providing financial expertise and insights to support business growth, acquisitions, and other corporate initiatives.

- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
