1. Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Develop and manage financial models and forecasts for the group's projects, institutions and companies.
- Analyse financial data to provide insights on financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with individual units and entities to develop and monitor their financial plans and budgets.
2. Budgeting & Cost Control:
- Coordinate the annual budgeting process for the group and its units.
- Review and analyse budget proposals from each entity within the group and provide recommendations.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost control measures to ensure financial efficiency.
3. Accounting Operations, Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Manage accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements for the group and its units, in compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports for regulatory compliances (both for statutory purposes and for accreditation of institutions), as required.
- Ensure timely submissions (after due approval) and make sure that the group and its entities meet all the compliance requirements.
4. Cash Flow Management:
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity position of the group and take corrective action on time.
- Develop strategies to optimise cash flow and working capital management for the group and its entities.
- Liaise with banks and financial institutions and meet funding requirements.
5. Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks, both systemic and sector-specific, that may concern the group and its entities.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with risk management policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Group-level consolidation, financial performance & projections:
- Oversee the financial consolidation process for the group's entities.
- Analyse and interpret financial performance data at the group level.
- Prepare reports and presentations on the current and projected financial performance of the group, for both internal and external audiences.
7. Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with entities within the group to provide financial guidance and support.
- Present financial information and reports to the senior management and other stake holders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory authorities.
