Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Finance controller to lead our finance operations. The Finance Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring the accuracy of financial reports, maintaining robust financial controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role is crucial for maintaining the financial health and integrity of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Financial reporting and analysis:
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate and prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and long-term financial plans.
Internal controls and compliance:
- Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, laws, and company policies.
- Manage internal and external audits, addressing any issues or recommendations.
Treasury and cash management
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors.
- Optimize the company's capital structure and manage financial risks.
Strategic planning and support:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement the company's strategic plans.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and drive growth.
- Evaluate potential investments, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic opportunities.
Fund Raise (Preferred):
- Experience in raising debt/equity capital for an NBFC/Bank
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. CA or equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
- 10-12 years of experience in finance and accounting with at least 5-6 years in an NBFC
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively hire, manage and motivate a team of credit professionals.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory requirements, and financial management practices.
- Experience in managing RBI regulations and compliances pertaining to NBFC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity and ethical standards. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
