Finance / Commercial Manager - CA

Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) - 1st Attempt (All Levels)

Industry Preference: FMCG, Consumer Durables, Paints, or Building & Construction Brands

About the Role:

We are seeking a high-impact Finance / Commercial Manager (CA - 1st Attempt) to lead the financial, commercial, and compliance operations of the region. This role will require the candidate to act as a key stakeholder in driving business growth, financial discipline, and cost efficiency. The individual will play a dual role - supporting the business growth while leading the financial and commercial operations, ensuring a robust control environment.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in ommercial operations, budgeting, financial control, working capital management, and vendor negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting, Reporting & Compliance:

- Oversee and lead financial accounting and reporting functions for the region.

- Ensure accurate financial closures for statutory purposes and internal periodic reporting.

- Lead internal audits, statutory audits, and compliance reporting as per regulatory norms.

- Implement and enhance internal control frameworks to strengthen financial governance.

- Ensure 100% compliance with GST, income tax, and other financial regulations.

2. Business Partnering & Growth Enablement:

- Act as a key financial partner to the business, supporting revenue growth and driving profitability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize costs, enhance margins, and increase overall profitability.

- Support the creation of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and long-term financial forecasts.

- Provide strategic financial insights to drive business decisions and achieve growth objectives.

3. Cost Rationalization & Margin Enhancement:

- Lead cost rationalization initiatives by analyzing plant operations, supply chain, and procurement.

- Implement measures to optimize direct and indirect costs, improving the overall profitability of the business.

- Monitor key financial KPIs, driving cost efficiency and resource optimization.

- Support in working capital management, ensuring efficient cash flow and minimal operational downtime.

4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Variance Analysis:

- Drive the Annual Budgeting Process in alignment with corporate goals and operational requirements.

- Continuously monitor and control budget utilization across the region.

- Lead periodic variance analysis (budget vs actuals) and recommend corrective actions.

- Provide business intelligence reports, financial insights, and periodic MIS reports to the leadership team.

5. Vendor Management & Commercial Negotiations:

- Lead vendor management and negotiations for key raw materials, packaging materials, and operational services.

- Collaborate with procurement teams to optimize vendor contracts and drive better commercial outcomes.

- Ensure that vendor contracts are aligned with cost efficiency and margin enhancement goals.

6. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management:

- Optimize working capital cycles by ensuring efficient inventory, receivables, and payables management.

- Drive cash flow management to maintain a healthy balance between profitability and capital investment.

- Continuously identify opportunities for improving working capital efficiency.

7. Internal Controls & Governance Framework:

- Implement and strengthen the internal control framework across financial, operational, and procurement processes.

- Ensure 100% compliance with financial regulations, statutory laws, and internal control standards.

- Lead internal audits, statutory audits, and compliance reviews to enhance organizational governance.

8. Supporting Mergers, Acquisitions & Financial Structuring:

- Support the finance leadership in financial structuring, modeling, and evaluation of acquisitions or capital investments.

- Participate in due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation processes for potential acquisitions.

- Ensure efficient capital utilization for both organic and inorganic growth.

Key Requirements:

- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) - 1st Attempt (All Levels) is mandatory.

- Experience: Minimum 8 to 12 years of strong commercial and financial experience in commercial operations.

- Industry Preference: FMCG, Consumer Durables, Paints, or Building & Construction brands.
