- Finance Buddha is in retail asset (personal loans, business loan, home loans and LAP) distribution business on behalf of banks/FIs for the last 3 years. We have recently entered the general insurance (health insurance and car insurance) space also which gives us a much wider suite of products.
- We have 18 offices in various markets across India with a total team strength of 450+ people
- We have tie-ups with around 15 banks/FI's like Citibank, Standard Chartered Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Indusind Bank, Bajaj Finserve etc
- In our business model all activities i.e. from lead generation from an interested customer to closure is done internally
- Our current acquisition levels are in the tune of USD 150 million across secured and unsecured loan businesses.
- The company will close FY 15-16 with revenues of USD 4 million with a strong bottom line.
- The organisation is the biggest distributor of unsecured loans in South India currently, and aims to be the biggest player across loan distribution in the country
Qualification :
- Post Graduate
- MBA from a Top Business School (IIM, XLRI, ISB,SP Jain, MDI, FMS etc) along with a Graduate Degree in Engineering
- B tech/M tech graduates can also be considered however only from IIT's and BITS Pilani.
- Basic Idea of Digital Platforms and Database Engines etc
- Relevant Industry Currently doing a product role in Financial Services, E commerce, Travel Commerce, Start ups etc Preferred
Job Description / Responsibilities :
- The candidate will be responsible for setting up and running the digital platform of the company by working closely with various stakeholders internally and externally including banking partners, technology and marketing vendors and promoters of the company.
- The candidate will be managing the following verticals directly, web development (Through Vendor/internal team), Product Intelligence ( Internal Team), Sales Execution ( Internal Team) & Marketing ( Vendor Management).
- Understand various retail financial products the company deals in and liaise with our banking partners to provide a best in class experience for the customers
- The entire focus would be in creating a revenue centric model which can be scaled up to manage a Pan India footprint that the company has.
- Work on data management and analytics to ensure that the company is able to get the maximum bang for the buck for the customers acquired by it across online, offline and partnership channels
- Create, manage and develop the digital marketing identity of the company

- Be a self motivated person willing to understand a start up culture.
Compensation range (In Rs.) Will not be a constraint for the right candidate, the candidate will also be eligible to part of the ESOP Pool

- Vivek Bhatia (Director): Vivek is the founder of the firm having setup Finance Buddha in 2012. Starting from a small team of 8 people and 1 office, he has been instrumental in growing the organisation multi fold. He manages the personal loan business and the admin/HR functions.
- Parth Pande (Director): Parth joined Finance Buddha in early 2012 after spending 8 years at Citibank. At the time of leaving Citibank he was a Vice President. Parth was part of the founding team with Citibank for the new Sales and Distribution model adopted by the bank. During his stint with Citibank, he was responsible for setting up the most profitable retail asset franchise within the bank, accounting for over 45% of the country volumes in personal loans, and the most profitable book with lowest delinquencies. In his last role, he was managing Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Mortgage, Salary Account businesses at the regional level, having over 75 bankers and over 500 outsourced sales staff under his management. He also has the distinction of being the youngest Vice President in the Citi Consumer bank.
In Finance Buddha, he manages the mortgage business and overall marketing function.
- Parag Agarwal (Director): Parag has an overall experience of 10 years in investment management roles across private equity in India, Vietnam and other South East Asian countries. Before joining Finance Buddha he spent a couple of years as a Vice President - Investments at Masan Group in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). Masan Group is the largest private sector conglomerate in Vietnam with a market cap in excess of USD 3.5 billion and having interests across FMCG, Banking, Mining and Animal Feed. Prior to Masan, Parag was an Investment Manager at Avigo Capital Partners (New Delhi). He spent a total of 7 years at Avigo and was part of the start-up team at Avigo. Avigo is an India focused private equity fund managing USD 400 million across 3 funds. During his tenure he was involved in 5 investments and was the youngest person within Avigo to be nominated as a Board member in 2 portfolio companies.
