KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves the following responsibilities in relation to assigned business group with the bank:

- Preparation and/or review of complex full year & half year IFRS financial statement preparation for bank's Group entities in various jurisdictions – Australia, North America, UK and Asia,

- Interact with key stakeholders in home location teams to address queries raised during financial statements reviews

- Liaise with auditors to comprehensively address audit queries.

- Management reporting with a keen eye on details & preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations & complex General Ledger processing

- Understanding implications of direct & indirect income taxes from an accounting perspective.

- Document the processes with a view to retain knowledge and ensure continuity

- Understand and manage clients expectations and deliver output flawlessly under stringent timelines

- Work with multiple levels and teams across regions.

- Involvement in various GFS projects

- Delivery of financial statement preparation and other financial processes within the guidelines of established risk framework

- Take ownership and responsibility for selected GFS management deliverables

KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Technical Specialist SkillsTeam orientation

- Demonstrated experience in financial services / investment banking, with previous exposure to Regulatory Reporting being advantageous.

- Possesses good knowledge of accounting standards; exposure to IFRS is an advantage

- Good working knowledge of Accounting systems, Reporting tools and Microsoft Excel

- Strong team player.

QUALIFICATIONS & BACKGROUND/WORK EXPERIENCE

- Postgraduate/ professional accounting qualification, preferably CA or CPA

- Minimum 2-4 years of post CA qualification experience.

- Willingness to travel overseas

- Willingness to work in different time zones to support clients
