What will you do:
Roles and responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive resource management strategies to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs while aligning with business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective resource allocation and demand management, considering project requirements and team availability.
- Monitor, analyse, and report on resource utilization metrics regularly, identifying trends and areas for improvement to enhance efficiency.
- Manage bench resources effectively, partner with stakeholders to develop and execute resource plans that support project timelines and deliverables, while addressing potential risks and constraints.
- Track and report on resource utilisation, analysing data and providing suggestions for resource optimisation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and emerging technologies in resource management, applying relevant knowledge to improve organisational processes.
Skills and Competences:
- Assigning available employees to projects based on their skillsets, experience, and availability, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Monitoring day-to-day project activities and corresponding resourcing, making adjustments as needed to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- Conducting capacity planning to ensure that the organization's resources have the capacity to accommodate upcoming projects and initiatives.
- Managing employees' workload, utilization, and overtime hours effectively to prevent burnout and optimize productivity.
- Addressing resource conflicts promptly and implementing resolution strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines.
- Proactively managing resource shortages by implementing resource management techniques such as reallocating resources or hiring additional staff and communicating any issues to senior management.
- Providing support to project managers regarding resource management issues and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Maintaining awareness of all current and upcoming projects within the organization and collaborating with HR for staff training.
- Documenting resource management processes and maintaining accurate records, including utilization reports and resource allocation plans.
Qualifications:
B.COM, MBA HR with minimum 6+ years of experience.
