Fidelity - Investment Fund Analyst - Mutual Fund Domain - CFA/IIM/ISB/MDI/FMS

You will be aligned with the Products Research team, and will be responsible for providing research support on their set of mutual funds. They will be responsible for the creation of mutual fund reports that are mandated by regulations, for conducting analysis of the financial and economic developments of broad regions, competitive analysis of the mutual fund marketplace in Canada, and for interacting with and supporting portfolio managers of various Fidelity funds.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analysing and writing reviews on financial and economic developments of broad regions and asset classes

- Generate written analysis on funds managed by Fidelity Investments Canada

- Ensure all standard content on Fidelity funds is produced on time and to appropriate quality

- Address ad hoc queries on funds and markets

- Conducting competitive analysis of mutual funds market place in Canada

- Present data in understandable format for sales and marketing teams

Experience, Qualifications and Behavioural attributes :

- Post-graduate in Management with specialization in Finance from top-tier B-school

- CFA / CFA candidate is preferred

- 3-7 years of relevant research work experience

- Experience in report automation would be preferred

- Candidate must have knowledge of fund analysis

- Knowledge of investment products like equities, bonds, derivatives etc.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly and effectively communicate complex ideas and concepts

- Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills

- Should be highly organized and disciplined in order to effectively manage multiple processes and projects with high levels of quality

- Inclination for going beyond immediate deliverables and understanding the business environment in order to effect improvements

- Strong in Microsoft Excel skills including macros and an aptitude for technology and automation

- Knowledge of data sources like Bloomberg, Datastream etc.
