Fidelity International - Assistant Manager - UK Finance - CA

Purpose of your role and your key accountabilities

The individual will be controller for FCA regulated entity FIL Investment International which is the subsidiary of FHL. The role will also require understanding the UK regulatory environment and its application for various regulatory filings.

The key activities under the role are as follows:

- Perform regular income forecast and month end process involving revenue booking, Cost recharge calculations, variance analysis including preparation of monthly Flash financial statement.

- Preparation of year end statutory audit deliverables

- Group and Statutory audit for the FII legal entity

- Preparation of periodic entity Board reporting packs.

- Preparation of regulatory returns ( FSA and COREP)

- Perform periodic reconciliations in AssureNET.

- Perform periodic reviews of transfer pricing arrangements.

- Responsible for maintaining up to date procedure documentation.

- Maintain a high level of risk awareness and develop a sound control environment to enable risk mitigation.

- Deal with Ad-Hoc queries from the wider finance community

- Assist with various upcoming projects

Experience and Qualifications Required

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 3-5 years post qualification experience. Experience of working in an extended (offshore-onshore) global team model would be preferred.

- Sound financial concepts, knowledge of accounting principles

- Strong Microsoft Excel alongside good IT skills particularly Outlook, Word & PowerPoint

- Strong verbal and written business English communication skills, experience in presenting to senior management and writing reports beneficial

- Practical knowledge of Hyperion Smart-view will be preferred.
