Job Summary:
The Analytics team at FICO's Global Delivery Center in Bangalore provides consulting services to leading banks, financial institutions, and telecom providers across Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and Americas. The team works on a wide variety of projects across scorecard and strategy development, optimization, and regulatory compliance using the latest tools & techniques.
The role involves working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end analytical solutions that create strong business impact.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop PD, LGD, and EAD models using appropriate methodologies as per local regulatory requirements
- Perform required analysis of Long Run Average and Downturn Estimates to ensure values are accurate and stable over time
- Identify gaps in existing data, models, policies, and processes between an institution's current state and what is required by IASB's new standard IFRS9
- Execute modifications to modeling & reporting for loss provisions, to be compliant with IFRS9
- Conduct detailed knowledge transfer to ensure clients understand methodologies used to produce estimates and can perform ongoing validation of the models
- Work simultaneously on a number of different projects of varying length and complexity
- Proactively manage effort to increase client satisfaction and maximize revenue
Desired Skills and Experience
- Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering or similar technical field with relevant course work in probability, statistics and quantitative methods
- 12 - 20 years of core analytical experience with at least 5 years of analytical project management
- Hands-on experience with building models/ scoring algorithms using SAS/SPSS, R, or FICO Model Builder (preferred)
- Should have model development experience
- Hands on experience of developing PD/, EAD/ and LGD models, and run RWA capital calculations, and be fully conversant with the Basel regulatory guidelines
- Direct involvement in Basel model presentations to regulators and working on IAS39 to IFRS9 transitions would be an added plus
- Strong command of language with ability to communicate persuasively and effectively
