About the Role :

- We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) to join our dynamic team as an Assistant Manager - Direct Taxation.

- You will play a key role in supporting our clients with a wide range of direct tax compliance matters, ensuring timely and accurate filing of returns, and providing assistance with tax audits.

Responsibilities :

Manage all aspects of direct tax compliance for assigned clients, including:

- Income tax return preparation and filing (corporate and individual)

- Withholding tax (TDS) compliance

- Transfer pricing documentation and analysis

- Prepare and submit tax assessments, appeals, and replies to department queries.

- Assist with tax audits and transfer pricing audits, including data gathering, analysis, and communication with tax authorities.

- Calculate current tax, deferred tax, and contingent tax liabilities, and prepare quarterly/yearly tax workings.

- Assist with advance tax planning and ensure timely payments.

- Prepare and file DSIR (Director's Statement of Industrial Relations) related forms.

- Stay updated on the latest tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance with changing requirements.

- Maintain accurate client records and effectively manage deadlines.

- Work collaboratively with senior colleagues and other departments to ensure seamless client service.

Qualifications :

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognized institute.

- 2-5 years of experience in direct tax consulting or a related field.

- Strong understanding of Indian Income Tax Act, rules, and regulations.

- Familiarity with transfer pricing principles and documentation requirements (a plus).

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling complex tax matters.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and tax software (a plus)
