Job Description:
- We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive sales and manage our business operations across the Central UP and Delhi NCR regions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FMCG sales, specifically in the General Trade segment, and will be responsible for managing distributor relationships, driving revenue growth, and expanding the Farmley brand's presence in these regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets within the designated territories (Central UP and Delhi NCR).
- Market Development: Identify new business opportunities and expand the market share of Farmley products in the General Trade channel.
- Distributor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing distributors and retailers; ensure proper stock availability, visibility, and product placement in stores.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide the sales team (if applicable) to ensure optimum performance and alignment with company objectives.
- Territory Management: Ensure efficient territory management, including proper planning, route management, and execution of trade promotions.
- Brand Visibility: Ensure Farmley products are highly visible and effectively merchandised across all general trade outlets.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify potential threats and opportunities. Share insights and recommendations with the management team.
- Reporting & Analysis: Provide timely reports on sales performance, stock levels, market trends, and competitor activities. Analyze data to drive sales strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in FMCG sales, with a proven track record of handling General Trade channels in Central UP and/or Delhi NCR regions.
- Location: Base locations can be either Lucknow or Delhi NCR. Frequent travel across the Central UP and Delhi NCR region is expected.
- Sales Expertise: Strong understanding of General Trade sales strategies, including distributor management, key account handling, and sales execution.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in handling food and beverage or similar FMCG products will be preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and internal teams.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with the capability to inspire and drive sales teams.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to devise effective sales strategies.
