This Job entails the candidate having a broad spectrum of knowledge in Cement Manufacturing & operational functions of the Cement Plant. He will be looking after the day-to-day management and administration of Production & operations including the entire activities of the Plant, coaching, and counseling, and ensuring that all employees follow the core policies of the organization.
Job Summary:
1. To take care of administrative activities of the Plant.
2. Leading, Supporting & Coordinating with Various Verticals like Production, R&D, QA & QC, Commercial, Purchase, Finance, HR, Labour & Unions (If arises)
3. Responsible for the proper maintenance of all assets.
4. Looking after all the functions of the plant for smooth functioning.
Essential Duties
1. Smooth flow Production of the plant
2. Negotiation & Liasoning (Internal & External)
3. Supervising all the Policies and processes
4. Maturely and sensitively address escalations of employee grievances & Unions and policies.
5. Coaching and counseling (Internal & External) - escalations and their managers
6. Plan Training & Development initiatives (all levels) and streamline execution
7. Crisis management and proactive mitigation of the same.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Solid knowledge in the field of Production, O&M
2. BE/BTech Mechanical with MBA from Premier Institute preferred 15+ years out of which last 3 years as FM in any huge professionally managed Cement Plant.
Professional Experience:
1. Must have worked as PLANT HEAD for any Huge Manufacturing UNITS for the last 3 years.
2. Must have a similar background in the cement industry
3. Should have experience in Plant with 2000+ employees
4. Experience in framing, administering, and executing Production processes.
5. Strong understanding of various policies and practices.
Skills Required:
1. Excellent Communication skills - should have strong, clear, and crisp verbal articulation skills and very strong documentation skills.
2. Work experience as Plant Head or similar role
3. Excellent analytical skills
4. Ability to create detailed spreadsheets, charts, and presentations
5. Good Team leading and building qualities
6. Very strong Interpersonal Skills - the ability to listen to employees is critical, with the capacity to truly comprehend, be seen as approachable, and act as a coach, inspiring confidence with the ability to help.
Strategic thinking skills
1. Ability to manage other managers, and handle difficult situations while remaining forward-looking and very positive
2. Ability to lead by example - The candidate should support organizational norms, possess self-discipline and lead best practices
3. Adaptability - The ability to adapt is essential with the capacity to anticipate possible new opportunities or mitigate potential challenges.
4. Understand the changing and evolving landscape, and new developments with the ability to identify which may be relevant for their implementation.
Crisis Management
1. The individual must possess the ability to identify and resolve situations quickly, taking ownership of employee concerns and working cooperatively with others to resolve escalations involving other departments or with Sr Management for more complex issues.
2. Should have a high degree of integrity, and be forward-thinking, positive, and proactive in anticipating organizational needs.
