Key responsibilities of the various teams within India Financial control function include:
- Accounting & Control,
- Revenue & Billing
- Transfer Pricing Oversight
- Group/legal entity year-end and audit
- Direct & indirect taxation,
- Treasury & regulatory compliances,
- MIS reporting's and supporting the extended teams in different regions.
This role will be responsible to drive transformation and deliver process improvement objectives in collaboration with various internal stakeholders. Focus will be on establishing a centre of excellence team for cost accounting and transfer pricing activities requiring this role to conduct scenario analysis and build financial models to enable decision making in deploying scalable solutions and best practices.
Key responsibilities:
- To define clear design principles for a centralised cost accounting and transfer pricing function.
- To leverage advanced analytics capabilities and help turn data into knowledge and actionable insights to bring in transparency and consistency around cost allocation and recharges.
- To strive for productivity increases through automation & optimization of operational processes to ensure better quality & stakeholder satisfaction in alignment with finance operating model strategy.
- To ensure high levels of data quality via analysis, review & action planning together with the business unit
- To apply project management in compliance with lean methodologies to ensure controlled, structured implementations, as well as assisting in planning & execution of project tasks
- To drive process improvement, process re-engineering, support the implementation of changed processes to improve the quality, productivity of operational processes & systems.
- Owning, steering and leading senior stakeholders, governance forums, improve voice of stakeholder, influence right change and behaviours
Skill required:
- Excel skills are expected to be outstanding with exemplary proficiency in using pre-defined formulas, creating charts, building macros etc.
- Problem solving capabilities
- Inquisitiveness and ability to understand financial process and data flow
- Proven project and programme management experience
- Communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of influencing and motivating others at a senior level to achieve results and exceed targets.
- Building financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various industry-related operating metrics.
Qualification Required:
5-7 years of work experience in financial services industry with proven experience of leadership within the transformation of a business including significant personal contribution to the success of the initiative and the measurable impact on customers, employees and performance
