EY - Senior Manager - Education Transformation - Business Consulting

We are looking for Senior Manager in Business Consulting with experience of working in one or more segments of the Education Sector (K-12 and/or higher education or any other like ECCE, Technical Education, alternate education, ed-tech). S/he is expected to lead either large accounts or one or more projects. In this role, you will lead X-LOS collaborations working closely with colleagues, leading your team in designing and building solutions to enable high impact on the ground.

The Role:

- Delivery Excellence, Ensure strong project management, team management, and overall profitability of projects.

- Take overall accountability for client success through active listening, problem-solving and providing strategic inputs which align with their vision of high impact on the ground and the ecosystem.

- Co-create solutions to meet client's current and future needs, working closely with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.

- Develop, manage and grow working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

- Market Engagement

- Keep abreast of new and current trends/developments within the education and continuum, approaches to enable scalable impact.

- Work closely with prospective clients, business development, and sales teams to ensure the accurate scope of work, high-quality approach, and accurate effort estimation.

- Contribute towards the organization's overall thought leadership strategy by generating meaningful content relevant to the ecosystem.

- Lead internal strategic initiatives at the unit or organizational level that help contribute towards continued practice development initiatives.

- Contribute towards the development of junior team members, and towards a strong culture and working environment overall.

Key qualifications and experiences:

We are looking for individuals who align with our mission of being change makers and can move the needle towards positive impact. The ideal candidate shall bring the following profile:

- A part of the total experience should be of working in the education (or associated) domain either industry or consulting; Demonstrated of working with IFIs / large scale transformation projects either public or private is desirable.

- MBA or postgraduate degree in education, management, social development / any other relevant disciplines

- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.

- Significant experience working with State/Centre and local governments, including large-scale stakeholder management. Familiarity with the central government functioning, its hierarchies, structure and ways of working preferred.

- Exceptional problem-solving and advisory skills, strong presentation and data analytical abilities

- Self-driven, high-energy, curious and adaptable personality with the ability to produce high-quality (entrepreneurial mindset)

- Prior experience in leading diverse teams and people management

- Demonstrated commitment to social impact/prior experience working in the social sector

- Mobility is a key with professionals expected to travel 10% to 50% of their time either for enhancing services delivery rigor of our onsite teams or proactive /reactive business development. Willingness to travel and readiness to work from client locations is thus a key pre-requisite.

- Flexible to adopt to a demanding lifestyle

- Able to thrive in relatively unstructured situations

- High initiative and drive, positive attitude and high commitment

- Maturity and ability to handle pressure
