Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities in the role of a Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) Senior Analyst - Transaction Support:
- Analysing financial and operational results of targets through the preparation of various analysis by reviewing accounting records in Chinese (Mandarin) or English language.
- Assisting in preparing reports and schedules in Chinese ( Mandarin) or English language
- Leading engagements with 1-3 staff members and effectively managing engagement to closure.
- Demonstrate basic understanding of financial statements and any industry or sector.
- Be responsible for delivering highest quality on every task assigned in line with EY Global TAS methodology and the expectations of Global TAS teams.
- Execute & document specific due diligence procedures as defined by the engagement objectives and local team's work step allocation.
- Work with the GDS and global team members to set goals and responsibilities.
- Developing/maintaining productive working relationships with EY offices globally. Directing the progress of engagement work and informing supervisors of the engagement status.
- Managing own time to work on budgets and communicate progress against plan to supervisors
- Contribute ideas for improvement by comparing efficiency of due diligence procedures performed across different offices.
- Contributes to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism towards work challenges.
- Staying abreast of current business and economic developments relevant to the client's business
- Promote EY's ethical and professional standards, including data confidentiality.
- Develop knowledge of use of EY technology and tools to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.
Qualification and Competencies:
- Language capability : Chinese ( Mandarin) (Delf B2 and C1)
- 3 to 5 yrs relevant work experience (in Chinese ( Mandarin) language related role)
- B.Com / M.Com / similar post-graduation course in finance from a reputed institute
- Basic understanding of financial and accounting knowledge.
- Experience in external audit working and/or mergers and acquisitions transactions experience or experience in the field of financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting is preferred.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Good analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong drive to take new work initiative and ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
- Willingness to travel, when necessary
- Any graduate with Chinese (Mandarin) language expertise can apply.
