EY - SAS Architect - Python/Big Data

Architecht - Roles & Responsibilities :

- Define long term data warehouse strategy & roadmap for greenfield projects

- End to end Data integration, business intelligence & analytics reporting solution definition

- SAS or related technologies liek R, SPSS etc implementation strategy definition

- Define technical DW architecture using 3NF and Dimensional modeling methodologies

- Familiarity in appliance databases such as Teradata, Exadata etc

- Recommend tools & technologies and best practices

- Define standard for EDW best performance user adoption & efficiency

- Responsible for Master data architecture

Desired Skills & Experience :

- 10 Years experience in ETL and Data Architecture with exposure to Government or Banking Domain

- Prior DWH Implementation of 2 end to end project cycles including production support experience is a must

- SAS E Miner, SAS text Miner, SAS SNA, SAS VA, R, Python, Big Data knowledge will be an added advantage

- Good knowledge on SQL & Linux

- Strong customer relationship and communication skills

- Strong interpersonal & communication skill Ability to work with multi-cultural and multi location teams

- Ability to influence architectural decisions

Data Scientist :

- Master's degree in statistics, computing or mathematics

- Should have knowledge of different programming languages such as Python, R, Base SAS, Java, Pig and SQL.

- At least Five years experience in performing a variety of statistical analysis using tools such as SAS, R, SPSS etc.

- Need to have an understanding of Hadoop, Hive and/or MapReduce

- Experience in predictive analytics using data mining tools

- Experience related to areas of fraud detection, risk analysis

- Basic understanding of statistics is expected. Should be familiar with statistical tests, distributions, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.

- Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms like k-nearest neighbors, random forests, ensemble methods etc.

- Knowledge of Data Quality algorithms

- Experience required in data sampling, variance estimation, statistical modeling, hypothesis building and testing, imputation and related areas

- Experience in analyzing raw data and using the results of such analyses to produce reports for decision making purposes

- Good understanding of design and architecture principles

- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

Behavioural :

- Excellent written and verbal communication

- Being able to work in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment as in a competitive landscape new data keeps flowing in rapidly and the world is constantly changing

- Having an, at least basic, understanding of how a business and strategy works

- Should have a natural desire to go beneath the surface of a problem and should enjoy diving deep into the material to find an answer to a yet unknown question

BI

Skills Required :

- Must have experience in Design, development and testing of reporting applications using Open Source BI tools such as D3C, Pentaho, Talend, Jaspersoft, Seal etc

- Expertise in one of teh Open Source tools is mandatory

- Experience in Datawarehousing projects handling big volumes of data

- Hands-on experience on appliance based databases, Hadoop DFS would be an added advantage.

- Should be able to conceptualize a reporting solution and present it to senior stakeholders.

- Should be able to lead a solution single handedly without much supervision and should be able to respond to proposal requests and turnaround fast.

- Good communication and documentation skills.

- Should be a Graduate / Post Graduate from a good college.
