The Project Manager will have overall ownership of the Migration workstream and responsibility for the independent running of multiple, projects in-line with the direction, standards and approach set out by company's methodologies and the Programme Manager.
Responsibilities will include:
- Day to day project management of multiple deliverables with complex dependencies.
- Full lifecycle ownership of assigned projects including: analysis & problem solving, defining/documenting solutions, identifying impacted stakeholders, mainaining RAID logs, producing and maintaining credible project plans.
- Creation and maintenance of detailed projects plans for the migration of processes from high to low cost locations in a dynamic and frequently changing landscape.
- Drafting deliverables as set out by the Programme Manager, taking input from SMEs and broader business representatives.
- Leading and running project working groups and governance meetings, including Steering Committees with senior stakeholders.
- Engaging with and actively managing relationships with stakeholders to drive optimal solutions.
Experience and Qualifications Required
Required:
- 10 yrs+ hands-on experience as a Project Manager within large, complex financial institutions.
- Prior experience with process migration initiatives and setting up Centres of Excellence (COEs).
- Excellent understanding of core finance processes, with sufficeint gravitas to drive organisational change.
- Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation, including senior management.
- Robust planning skills across projects with multiple depenedencies.
- Strong communication (verbal and written), influencing and problem resolution skills.
- Experience running/facilitating business stakeholder workshops to achieve desired outcomes.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaborate as part of a team across a variety of geographies and skill sets.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint and other project management tools and software.
Desirable:
- Business change background preferred. (This is not an IT / Technical role)
- Professional Programme/Project Management accreditation.
- Relevant Accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) desirable.
- Educated to degree level, within a numerate discipline.
