Essentials :
1. In-depth domain knowledge of forestry/natural resources/forest management/rural development
2. Superior knowledge and exposure to the government sector policies around forestry/forest management/rural development and experience in the following sub-areas : agro-forestry, NTFP, monitoring and evaluation, livelihoods, SHGs, JFM, ecotourism, wildlife management, climate change, wetland management, biodiversity conservation, IEC, capacity development.
Job Role :
1. Partnering with Clients to maximize shareholder value through Strategy interventions
2. Business plan development
3. Developing Thought Leadership : (1) Speaker Assignments (2) Articles or White Papers
4. Client Management : (1) Lead role in execution of client service (Project delivery)
5. Networking & Marketing : (1) Create and manage good independent relationships with clients (2) Expand opportunities with existing clients, identify and acts on referrals typically in relation to their service line (3) Build broad networks within the firm locally and internationally
6. Lead and coordinate the planning and management of assignments, with guidance from the Partner
7. Knowledge Management : (1) Strong contribution to knowledge sharing efforts, reviews and continually improves processes so that the team as well as the firm, capture and leverage required knowledge
8. People Management : (1) Build a strong team and be a good role model, mentor and coach (2) Assist in resolving people issues (3) Assist in recruiting activities for the SBU, including campus hiring
Academic Qualifications :
- PG in in Forestry/ Forestry related discipline/ Agriculture or MBA in General Management/Rural Management
Experience : 8- 10 years of work experience in the above areas
1. Currently working with government organizations/ ministries willing to move to a consulting organization
2. Currently associated with Development Advisory work, NGOs etc. and willing to move to a consulting organization
