Roles/Responsibilities:
- The Business Development person's primary role is to drive results for clients and the firm. The focus in on Government and Public sector clients. The BD Person will conduct rigorous account planning for the allocated region and work with sector leaders to position a wide range of solutions in the market across service lines.
- The person will drive relationships across government departments and bodies and carry a wide array of solutions in sectors including Agriculture, Social, skills, transport, Urban, Infrastructure, education, Commerce and Economic Development, Citizen services etc. This includes leveraging the firm's key initiatives and cross-functional services for new business opportunities within the account. The person is accountable for sales and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have a successful track record for hunting and, developing relationships at senior government levels. He / she should have a detailed understanding of government procurement process and be able to entire government tendering / procurement process efficiently.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Own the business development/pursuit process and generate sales from the accounts / region.
- Lead in hunting, formulating account / pursuit strategy, and executing the plan
- Work with partners / sector leaders throughout the pursuit life cycle.
- Initiate, build and sustain client relationships at top levels of the government
- Pursue new business opportunities and help converge sales running through the procurement process
Education Qualifications: Min Graduate, preferable MBA with atleast 8+ years of experience in government selling and responding to government opportunities.
