GDS TAS Pursuits

Within GDS TAS, our Pursuits team provides support for pre-deal and origination activities, across various sectors as part of EY's Go-to-market initiative. The Pursuits team work in tandem with sector fraternity and global markets team in building a globally consistent and sector driven origination hub to create predictive, insightful, client specific content, driving capital agenda conversations with the clients. Work products includes deal origination meeting decks, capital agenda info-packs/opportunity paper decks, value creation opportunity packs, industry insight packs, divestiture opportunity decks, thought leadership packs and idea generation support. The Pursuits- team in GDS TAS has over 120 professionals supporting deal origination engagements across the globe. Key sector work streams include: (a) Financial Services (b) Consumer Products & Retail (c) Life Sciences (d) O&G e) Technology (f) Diversified industrials

Responsibilities-

The role of Manager in GDS Pursuits will include the following:

- Identifying sector themes for generating actionable business development analysis

- Creating content for buy-side/sell-side pitches - Point-of-view documents to synthesize and present the findings basis secondary research and inputs from onsite teams

- Contribute in building TAS focused - Thought leadership reports- and advice accounts teams on capital allocation strategies and imperatives to succeed in dynamic M&A market.

- Identify key sector and company specific themes to analyse investment opportunities in the sector

- Develop excellent relationships with global stakeholders and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with engagement process and work products

- Focus the team priorities while managing several medium to large size projects

- Conduct timely performance reviews for the team (staff and senior employees) and help in developing and guiding staff and other junior professionals

Job requirements

The job requires the prospective candidate to have an understanding of the following activities and have undertaken the following:

Experience of having worked in the following types of firms and the following types of service offerings:

- Experience of having worked in a similar research organization, consulting major like the Big 4 or financial analytics firms or a management consulting firm - Large Indian corporates with exposure in planning & strategy, corporate finance, business development role - Equity research role in leading KPOs/Captives

Required understanding of business development including:

- Affinity towards one or two sectors

- Strong communication and business writing skills

- Good understanding of corporate transactions and funding mechanisms

- Ability to determine risks and opportunity areas, assess findings and communicate insights

- Experience in undertaking sector studies and analyzing merger and acquisition (M&A) drivers for a given sector or transaction

- Experience in interacting with senior management of clients

- Excellent problem solving, project management, facilitation and interpersonal skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in developing final presentations

Note: Pharma/ Life sciences exp is mandatory (No Healthcare)
