Job Summary:


The Domain Analyst is responsible for delivering impactful analysis and insight for the subsector - Insurance


- in accordance with the key sector priorities, including:


- Business development, account planning and delivery


- Regional, service-line and sector strategy


- Strategic offerings and Big bets


- Market facing thought leadership, point of views and blogs


- This role requires the ability to combine strong research skills and continuously developing analytical skills with real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients' experiences and broader marketplace drivers.


- A collaborative mindset is also crucial, as Analysts have a key role to play in supporting networks within their domain, sharing information across sectors, service lines, accounts and solutions, and using that information to further strengthen the quality of materials produced.


- Analysts work closely with the Sector Knowledge Leader, senior Domain Analyst and Knowledge Managers to support the domain's leadership and other senior stakeholders, providing impactful research, analysis and insight to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace.


- This individual will be a financial services domain expert and help to ensure the quality and delivery of outputs by knowledge team members located throughout the world to support the specific domain's initiatives.


Key Requirements:


- Possess fair understanding of the subsector - Insurance, with ability to provide their own point of view and insights in their deliverables. Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in strategy, business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising organizations in the relevant domain


- Have a broad understanding of emerging technology themes like digital transformation, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, internet of things, blockchain, data fabric, microservices etc.


- Should have a good understanding of emerging business models, digital products/platforms, technology advancements, cybersecurity and regulatory developments in the financial services sector


- Understands the firm's go-to-market strategy and service delivery models, how core business services support the business, and how knowledge analytics and measurement enables exceptional client service and high performing teams.


- Demonstrates ability to use both qualitative and quantitative research and analysis methodologies, including financial analysis skills, to synthesize information, review data inputs and provide meaningful analysis on the subject.


- Advanced skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Good experience with large sets of data and visualization tools such as Power BI will be desirable


- Previous experience of working on sector databases such as S&P Market intelligence, CapIQ, Factiva and Thomson One.


- Develop relationships with manager / senior manager-level stakeholders in business teams and collaborates with domain customers and EY Knowledge colleagues to deliver research, analysis and insights that support business development activities and service delivery to clients.


- Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills; able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools


- Understanding of internal stakeholders and external clients' needs and concerns; responds with a sense of urgency.


- Collect and analyze information from internal and external subject matter experts through various techniques - face-to-face interviews, telephonic interviews, electronic surveys, etc.


- Ability to take ownership for delivering customized projects with a degree of autonomy; adept at working on a number of projects simultaneously.


- May require occasional travel and should be able to work with minimum supervision


- Helps to cultivate a high-performance teaming environment with analysts in a global, multi-cultural and virtual environment
