Pursuits Self-help Manager-GDS Pursuits Enablement COE (Business development, Bid management, Pursuit management) (10-14 yrs) Description - External EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) consists of various service delivery centers from which Client Service and Enablement Services teams operate to deliver strategic support to EY member firms. GDS spans all geographies, practices, services lines, sectors and competencies within EY to deliver integrated services that result in efficient and world-class solutions. The position in discussion is with the Pursuits Enablement sub function in EY GDS Markets. The GDS Pursuits Enablement COE serves as an extension to the onshore Pursuit teams who are involved in the direct Bid Management Processes. The Pursuits Enablement COE supports the onshore teams on a number of opportunities, adding more value during the pursuit process or the bid management cycle. Pursuits Self-help is one of the functions within the Pursuits Enablement COE providing support on pursuit tools including design and development of pursuit self-help sites, repository maintenance and administration, assistance with CV collation and user-support delivered via email/live chat helpdesk. The GDS Pursuits Self-help team supports the several self-help initiatives globally including the Global Pursuit Resource Center (PRC), which is a new cross-Service Line initiative to provide practitioners easy access to a curated library of recent pursuit materials, leading practice tools and guidance, and helpdesk support. The Self-help Manager role is focused on serving key stakeholders of the pursuit self-help initiatives. The role requires the person to proactively develop high impact relationships with these stakeholders, demonstrate technical thought leadership on areas of support and operational excellence. The Self-help Manager will also have responsibility to coach, mentor and develop a high impact team, manage operations and grow the depth and breadth of the GDS Pursuits Self-help team. Responsibilities, Qualifications, Certifications - External Job Specifications -&nbsp; - Champion and lead the Pursuits self-help team in GDS - Develop effective relationships with stakeholders and embedding self-help support into their processes/practices - Responsible to help build, mentor and retain a high impact Pursuits Self-help team - Liaise and work with Program teams and stakeholders and supervise the scoping of support requirements, review processes for the execution of self-help activities - Help build and drive the onboarding program for new members of the GDS Pursuits Self-help team - Oversee content preparation process for the self-help sites and Global PRC and assign resources for the Content Preparation - Drive quality control and the standardization of delivery and embed the principles of exceptional client service of being connected, proactive and insightful in supporting the stakeholders and users - Contribute and add value on complex requests coming to the Global PRC Helpdesk - Monitor business operations of the GDS Pursuits Self-help team (e.g. utilization, KPIs etc.) - Liaise with support functions in GDS like Talent, L&amp;D, Operations, Finance etc. to address any business and operational requirements/challenges Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities: - Champion EY Markets Activation Team (MAT) best-practice pursuit management tools and processes - Solution-oriented and makes sound decisions quickly, given tight timeframes - Demonstrate versatility in a constantly evolving environment with a wide variety of social styles Supervision Responsibilities: - Work with considerable autonomy while often managing the work of others - Provide coaching and mentoring to others; may serve as a Counsellor to GDS Pursuits Self-help team members and Supervisors - Support the onboarding and training of new hires in the GDS Pursuits Self-help team - Develop and coach the GDS Pursuits Self-help team members through teaming on pursuits and facilitated training - Oversee the work of the GDS Pursuits Self-help team members including Supervisors Knowledge and Skills Requirements: Essential - Good understanding of Business Development and Pursuit Management - Excellent mother-tongue standard English - Excellent communications skills (verbal, written and listening) - Ability to analyze data and derive conclusions - Excellent critical and strategic thinking - Excellent project management, coordination and negotiation skills - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to influence without authority, lead and coach others - Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with a wide range of stakeholders Other Requirements: - From time to time, internal and external obligations may require working after normal business hours.
