Job Summary:
EY's Global Go-to-market Initiatives (GTMI) team, is looking for a talented and driven analyst who can partner with EY's business stakeholders on the planning and execution of strategic initiatives sponsored by EY's Global Markets organization and other senior business leaders within the firm. This involves acting as a strategic advisor providing a combination of research and analysis to identify actionable insights that power distinctive points of view and shape EY's strategies and decisions.
Examples of these initiatives could include: strategic new services that involve multiple service lines within the firm (i.e. Buyer focused solutions, Managed Services, Alliances, Sustainability etc.); assessing the impact of new data and technology on EY and its Clients (EY's Client Technology team); supporting cross-firm analysis on the implications of evolving geopolitical and economic landscape.
The analyst will:
- evolve the go-to-market approach and positioning of such initiatives
- contribute to the development of distinctive offerings and insights to take to clients
- develop compelling market-facing insights, events, and materials
- champion a cross-domain and connected approach, linking related topics across campaigns, teams and client discussions
Successful execution of the role will require the ability to combine strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset with real-world perspective driven by an understanding of both clients' experiences and broader marketplace drivers. This individual will be credible as an expert and will help to ensure the quality and delivery of research, analysis, market intelligence and other intellectual capital. At the same time, this individual will be a coach and mentor to junior analysts, championing a strategic, commercial and agile approach to insight generation and excellent communications skills.
The Senior Analyst will work closely with the GTMI Domain Knowledge Leader, GDS Markets Domain Knowledge Leader, other Senior Domain Analysts / Knowledge Managers to support EY Leadership and other senior stakeholders, providing thought-provoking content to help EY differentiate itself in the marketplace and proactively helping to identify new business opportunities and risks.
Key aspects of this role include:
- Working independently and in conjunction with the Global Go-to-market Initiatives Knowledge Leadership team, provide clear analytical insights with responsibility for the execution of strategic initiatives sponsored by EY's Global Markets organization and other senior business leaders within the firm.
- Engages with and challenges senior domain stakeholders to provide commercial and provocative perspectives on the issues, challenges and opportunities facing the domain and prepares insightful analysis on the impact of those trends for EY and its clients.
- Delivers a big-picture perspective and/or detailed analysis (as required) on the issues, challenges and opportunities relevant to specific initiatives and prepares insightful analysis on the impact of those trends for EY and its clients.
- Identify cross-sector Point of View (POV) sharing opportunities and collaborates with other domain teams on issues that cut across EY's business activities.
- Monitor economic and key market issues relevant to initiatives within the team's portfolio and shares this information as appropriate.
- Strong busines development skills including willingness to take on internal business development activities to further new tools and knowledge deliverables and grow the coverage of the team.
- Develops a credible internal brand to become recognized within EY as a subject matter expert to the business.
- Participate in client meetings, roundtables and other external events/conferences to strengthen EY's presence and reputation in the market.
- Collaborates with Knowledge colleagues to proactively alert stakeholders regarding changes among key clients and competitors and assesses the impact of those changes on internal strategies and plans.
- Drives greater connectivity within the Markets domain and across other parts of EY by using strong relationships to share information and convene groups around a common issue.
- Acts as a role model within EY Knowledge and the domain, championing the use of EY Knowledge methodologies and positively influencing change by leading by example; championing knowledge-sharing behaviors; connecting people; encouraging enterprise-wide sharing; and appropriately leveraging and reusing existing collateral.
- Support coaching and mentoring for team members within the GTMI Team
- Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Power BI.
Key Requirements:
- MBA/Master's degree or postgraduate qualification preferable
- Minimum 12+ years of experience in strategy, business analysis, industry research, management consulting or business performance, advising organizations in the relevant domain.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and interfacing with stakeholders and internal customers at different levels of seniority, as well as multi-disciplinary teams
- Proficient in English with well-structured oral and written communications skills; able to explain difficult concepts in a clear, concise and graphic-rich style, using appropriate analytics and visualization tools.
