Job Summary:
SOURCE 2 PROCURMENT - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
- Assist the GDS S2P Enablement functional leader on the GDS S2P Enablement activities and project globally by assisting in any functional discussions and implementation of related activities across GDS S2P Enablement function
- Facilitate vendor and stakeholder discussions to enable the strategic alignment
- Work with technical teams to align the stakeholder reporting requirements and dashboards
- Works closely with Stakeholders and vendors providing exceptional customer service and delivering value to the bottom line savings from operations and sourcing perspective
- Assist in any change managements and related functional issues across GDS S2P processes across GDS location
- Be Accountable for any functional issues/challenges and be able to address them for improvements within timely manner.
- Discuss and provide solutions for any functional challenges for all processes already implemented across GDS.
Relationship Focused Role Activities:
- Be the one point of contact for the respective business
- Be a strategic partner with the business to plan / forecast and be embedded with service line and the requirements
- Drive S2P BAU, operations and Project teams to enhance the business relationship with the service line/ service function. Coordinate / Accountable for the BAU activities for the SL/SF with the BAU team members
- Be there before anyone on any business needs and partner to drive solutions with and for the business.
- Collaborate with S2P Projects team, location leaders and BAU POC's to get the respective projects and activities completed.
- Drive strategic initiatives for the agreed business / service line.
- Reporting out on the performance, TAT, SLA's. Coordinate with delivery and operations teams in S2P to get this done for respective stakeholders.
- Responsible for the BAU trackers for each function / SL to be aligned through the BRM point of contact.
- Drive governance cadence with clear data points with the business to align at a strategic level - be a trusted business advisor
- Gather business and market insights to drive business to drive the vendor ecosystem for business efficiencies. Be responsible for vendor ecosystem data along with the operations team and also align the market insights and critical aspects for smooth continued delivery.
- Build project pipeline along with business, S2P Project team every quarter
- Be the focal point and be the person to know of any business issues and challenges upfront

Responsibility includes:
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within region business units and service lines and report S2P progress via regular meetings
- Build a pipeline of S2P Enablement projects for the region in collaboration with local stakeholders and execute local and regional deals in the timelines agreed with key stakeholders
- Achieve key functional targets (including SLA & KPI), help to develop new strategies and improve negotiable spend via sourcing and demand management
- Support the team in the analysis of the information in conjunction with the stakeholders.
- Work with other S2P leaders to agree regional or global strategies which supports the overall team objectives
- Provide accurate monthly reports and dashboard on the deals, activities, projects and BAU.
- Contribute ,drive and create the standardization of processes aligned to the global Procurement policy, processes and operations, and ensure compliance to the GDS policy and objectives by education of EY staff and presentations to stakeholders
- Provide key insights based on the data captured and ensure adherence to the policy that governs the processes.
- Proactively engage with the vendors/stakeholders to identify bottlenecks and remove for smooth processes across Pre Pruchase, Purchase and Post Purchase activities.
- Ensure process compliance and any deviations highlighted and addressed in the timely manner with appropriate approvals.
- Derive and deliver brand value and seamless user experience for business across Pre Purchase, Purchase, post purchase areas.
- Manage all people related activities (performance, compensation, learning) for respective staff including coaching of more junior members (where applicable
- Liasise with GDS IT teams to effectively manage the relevant 3rd party vendor tools and related staff.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements ; Describe the knowledge or skills needed to perform this job; these may be technical, managerial or behavioral in nature :
- Strong functional, technical, analytics and operations background with understanding of core S2P processes.
- Be the functional expert with capabilities to drive key projects end to end.
- Updated on all government notifications with respect to vendors and service providers statutory and compliance aspects.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills - able to handle conflict situations and resolve issues satisfactorily
- Culturally sensitive, capable of handling interactions with Procurement and businesses across GDS locations
Job qualifications :
Education (What is the minimum level of education needed/suggested to perform this job?) :
- Bachelor degree
Experience (What is minimum number of years needed/suggested to perform this job?) :
- Have 10+ years of relevant experience in handling Operations and large multi geographical transformation projects in similar size organizations.
- Experience in managing a large number of stakeholders
