Job purpose :
The incumbent will be required to work on primary accounting frameworks (US GAAP, Other Domestic or IFRS) and related financial reporting matters. Will involve performing assurance engagements in compliance with auditing standards and hence should be conversant with GAM (General Audit Methodologies). He/she will also be required to have knowledge on AWS (Audit Workstep).
Your client responsibilities :
- Should be able to identify areas requiring improvement in the clients business processes to enable preparation of recommendations
- Good understanding of industry knowledge and trends
- Research technical accounting issues.
- Know when to refer upwards and apply judgment
- Liaising with peers to ensure gaps & overlaps are minimized & end -to-end coverage where auditable area spans business units.
Your people responsibilities :
- Provide on-the-job training for developing auditing skills and familiarity with the firm's methodology and AWS (Audit Workstep).
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively discharge supervisory responsibilities
- Contribution to effective team work
Qualifications :
- Chartered Accountant
- Good communication skills
- With a minimum of 0 - 3 years post qualification experience
- Extensive Statutory Audit experience, should have independently handled audits, accountability & responsibility - preferably from Big 4 and mid sized firms
