ETL Experts - SAP HANA

Job Description: 

Expertise in handling complex ETL design, DB migration from data modelling perspective, Re-Engineering of ETL processes. The candidate should be strong in Data Warehouse fundamentals along with sufficient hands-on experience in ETL implementations and must have defined ETL standards, implemented best practices, and optimized performance. Experience with SAP HANA as part of ETL design and exposure to SAP HANA information modelling is a must.

Required Skills :

- Design & develop the extract/transform, transfer and audit components of a data warehousing system or data conversion programs through the use of extract development tools or custom developed procedures

- Design system components which reconcile and audit the results of the extract/transform or conversion of data from source systems to the target application (Experience with SAP HANA as target is a must)

- Define and manage the data load procedures; facilitate the change data capture ( Delta loads)

- Ensure ETL quality through inspections and knowledge sharing

- Strong analysis and design skill

- Strong experience with one major ETL tool (preferably SAP BODS or IBM DataStage)

- Strong experience with business intelligence and data warehousing design principles and industry best practices.

- Deep understanding of relational database design concepts and SQL programming

- Proficiency in SAP HANA data modelling using Attribute View, Analytic View, and Calculation View, importing source system metadata, hierarchies and developing Information Models, Creation of Packages, Defining the Metadata Import process, Managing Attribute Mapping and Manage Schema Mapping, Validating Information Models, Creation of Constant columns, Variables, Data provisioning using SLT/ SAP Data Services etc.

- Leverage technical expertise to develop HANA models using Calculation Views

- Integrate SAP HANA with SAP and non-SAP systems using ETL tools - Preferably SAP BODS

- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions & Documentation

- Map business requirements to the technical architecture design and information model in SAP HANA

- Work independently as a team member on assigned Task and ensure timely deliverables

- Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills with oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Preferred:

- Experience of writing complex SQL Scripts, Procedures, Cursors and Triggers

- Experience in Unix environment and proficient with shell scripting.

- Ability to understand Business Scenarios and translate it into data models with business logic

- Ability to design and develop complex ETL processes, standards and optimize for scalability.

- In-depth knowledge of ETL concepts and capabilities of one or more ETL tools ( Data Stage Preferred)

- Ability to divide large scope into deliverable work units and execute the project.

- Able to Conduct UAT sessions with the Business user and Presenting the Business value of the report to the Users

- Good Understanding on the Standard HANA Content

- Design & develop solutions in SAP Enterprise HANA using HANA Studio
