EY - Director - Transport Domain - Government & Public Sector Business Consulting Practice

EY India is looking for a Director role with a specialization in the transport domain to join our Government and Public Sector Business Consulting Practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a diverse team of consulting professionals with a focus on the transport domain, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the transportation sector, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored advisory services.

- Drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, developing proposals, and securing contracts within the transport domain of the public sector.

- Oversee the delivery of consulting projects related to operations transformation, gender mainstreaming in transport, operations planning and improvement, disaster response planning, commuter experience enhancement, and modal integration.

- Provide thought leadership on emerging trends and issues affecting the transport sector, including policy, regulatory changes, technological advancements, and sustainability.

Technical Experience

- In-depth knowledge and experience in the transport sector, including operations transformation of transport entities, gender mainstreaming in transportation, operations planning and improvement, disaster response planning, commuter experience improvement, capacity building measures, change management, modal integration and so on.

- Experience in developing and implementing strategies for public transport systems, including bus, rail, and other modes of mass transit.

- Familiarity with the application of technology and innovation in improving transportation systems and infrastructure.

- Proven ability to work with transportation agencies to develop and execute plans that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

- Understanding of the regulatory environment and policy frameworks impacting the transport sector.

- Experience in managing large-scale projects and initiatives within the transport domain, with a focus on sustainable and inclusive outcomes.

Required qualifications:

- A minimum of 15 years of professional experience in consulting, with a focus on government and public sector clients in the transport domain.

- A proven track record of leading and growing a consulting practice, with strong business development and client relationship skills.

- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a commitment to developing talent.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex issues into clear and actionable solutions.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high-level government officials and stakeholders.

- A bachelor's degree engineering/transport planning/transport design; a master's degree in transportation planning/engineering.

- Willingness to travel as required to meet client needs and develop business.
