EY - Climate Resilient Agriculture Expert

EY is hiring in Lucknow for #Climate Resilient Agriculture Expert for its Government & Public Sector Consulting.

Qualification:

Master's degree in agriculture or environmental sciences, with at least 7 years of experience in the climate resilience agriculture/agroforestry domain.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Development: Lead the formulation of climate resilience strategies tailored to the agriculture and forestry sector, considering regional climate patterns and environmental challenges.

Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with government agencies, agricultural organizations, and sector specialist to build consensus and support for climate-smart agriculture and agroforestry initiatives.

Technical Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis and research on climate-resilient agricultural practices, agroforestry techniques, and sustainable land management approaches.

Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity-building support to stakeholders involved in agriculture and forestry activities, empowering them to adopt climate-smart practices and enhance resilience to climate change impacts.

Carbon Credit Understanding: Understanding of mechanisms and regulatory frameworks of carbon credit generation through sustainable agricultural practices and integrate them into resilience strategies will be added advantage.

Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate opportunities for innovation and growth in the agriculture sector, leveraging climate resilience principles and sustainable practices. Drive initiatives to capitalize on identified opportunities.

Sector Alignment: Ensure alignment with allied sectors to maximize synergies and enhance overall resilience across the agricultural value chain.

Ideally, you'll also have :

- Proven track record in strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and project management, preferably in the government/public sector.

- Strong analytical skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders and build consensus.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong writing and presentation skills. Experience in Power BI will be an advantage.
